Bug Free Goats!
Goats have had a home on the farm for many years, providing milk and even meat to people. There are several species and each serves a special purpose. For instance, there are Boer goats that are kept purely for meat production, and Cashmere goats, which are raised for the production of cashmere. We, at Parsons Pest Management, want you and your goat to be happy and bug-free, so we created this page to give you information and ways to keep your animal safe and bug free. At the end of the information we'll provide you with pictures and links to some of the best, safe, organic pest control products available to fight the invaders that are making your goat miserable.

Whether young goat kids or a full grown goat. Your goat needs your help

Goats need your help! There are several signs that show if goats are in good health. If you spot one with watery, droopy eyes and does not want to eat, it almost always means there is something wrong with it. Also, healthy goats should always have a smooth and shiny coat, if they don't, it means that they have some parasites, whether internal or external. They get attacked by worms, flies, lice, and many more external parasites.
They like to run around in the tall grass, and so can even become a home to ticks and the like. Ticks can cause inflammation, infections or even Lyme disease. This means you have to be extra careful when choosing a product to use on your best friend.
Flea bites are uncomfortable for your goat, with the most common one been the stick tight flea which attaches itself behind the ears and the face. Fleas can also cause anemia, dermatitis and tapeworms. Fleas never stay on the host for long periods because they often hop from one place to another their reproduction rate is high because they mature in two to three weeks and mating begins immediately. They are known to cause damage by feeding on the blood from the host and eventually when they drop off, they leave unsightly marks on the goat’s skin. If your goat has worms, fleas, or some other parasite, you should administer treatment right away.
Also many worms, mites, fleas, and other pests have grown immune to many of the chemicals in use today because of being exposed to them so very often. Not to mention some of these products even hurt the animal you are trying to help, sometimes even lethally!
