Whether you live in the US or any other country on the globe, animals form an integral part of our daily lives whether we like to admit it or not. If you’ve ever drunk white tea, coffee, some yogurt, or even milk then there was a cow or goat involved at some point. If there was an egg added to the breakfast then a chicken had to give up a potential child for you and lastly if there was some bacon or a sausage on the menu than a cow or pig most probably had a lot to do with that. Livestock is necessary not only for the food but for the employment, they create across the board. From the farmer to the truck driver to the shop attendant they are all linked by the livestock produce that we eventually consume with zest.

Though these animals are there for us, ticks and mites that if left unchecked can be a source of discomfort to the beloved livestock plague them day after day. to begin with there are the ticks that are consequently feeding on the livestock making their existence miserable then there are the mites that may come in time deal the final blow. Be they chickens, cows, goats, or sheep they are all potential hosts for the ticks and mites but the animal lovers in us can always breathe a sigh of relief because there is always a solution. To begin with there is the cattle dip for the cows that has been used for years and continues to prove extremely effective for them. Though it is not possible to throw chickens into the same mixture and expect them to come out unscathed there is the option of anti parasitic sprays that cut across the board. These are readily available and effective for all types of animals and they can be used as often as is necessary to keep the pests at bay.

At the end of the day the healthier and happier the animal is, then the better the produce we are able to gain and we should all strive to keep the friendly livestock tick and mite free. this is not only an added advantage for the farmer and the rest of the chain that works tirelessly to get the bacon to our tables but for the livestock that has had to give up one thing or another to make us happy each morning. Though it is virtually impossible to keep livestock clean like with cats and other household pets, the animals can be dipped and sprayed every so often to keep the pests off and ensure they are in tiptop shape for their own comfort and our peace of mind.
